Founded in 1966 by Reinhold Tontarra, the company operates a fully integrated production facility in Germany.

Today, Tontarra employs around 140 people and serves more than 400 active customers worldwide. The company offers a comprehensive portfolio of precision instruments used across a broad spectrum of surgical procedures. In addition to its proprietary brand business with patent-protected developments, Tontarra acts as a contract developer and manufacturer for internationally leading MedTech OEMs, covering the entire value chain from development and precision manufacturing through to regulatory approval.
